Women IR battalion

IMPHAL, June 7 – With the increase of women militants in the State, the Manipur Government has decided to raise a women India Reserve Battalion, official sources said. The decision to set up a women IR battalion was taken at a Cabinet meeting here on Wednesday, sources said. As many as 1,007 women constables will be recruited for the battalion, a senior Minister who attended the meeting said. – PTI.
