Namsoong festival concludes

MANGAN (SIKKIM), Jan 6 – The Lepcha community of Sikkim celebrated Namsoong festival in a grand manner at Namprikdang, Dzongu in North Sikkim. The festivities which commenced from December 28 concluded on Sunday last.

On January 3, State Roads and Bridges Minister DT Lepcha appealed to the people to start the New Year with positive thoughts.

A total of 250 youths had participated in the Namprikdang Namsoong Half Marathon 2008-09. Devi Lal Sharma from Manshila won the men’s title while T Sharma won the women’s title. assam tribune
