SHILLONG, July 29: Tragedy struck the Nongrang family at Mawkarah village in West Khasi Hills when an inferno charred to death five of its members on Tuesday night. The charred family members include Spomlin Nongrang and her four children. Four other members of the family, including the head of family Krestar Marngar, his one-and-a-half-year-old son, his father in-law and mother in-law escaped unhurt. SOURCE: THE SENTINEL
