Aviation infrastructure development in Arunachal Pradesh

GUWAHATI, Oct 14: An apex committee has been formed by the Government of India to look into improvement of aviation-related infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh. Air Vice Chief Air Marshal PK Barbora has been appointed to head the committee.

Talking to The Sentinel today, Air Marshal Barbora said the Rs 2,000-crore project will entail renovation of the existing helipads and advanced landing grounds in Arunachal Pradesh. “Once completed, it will ensure better air maintenance of local population of Arunachal Pradesh, supply to the paramilitary forces and hopefully boost tourism traffic to Arunachal Pradesh,” Air Marshal Barbora added.
