Kohima ARS students go green


KOHIMA, Oct 4: To keep the beauty of Kohima and preserve the precious ecosystem. In the sprit of conserving the nature, 350 students of Assam Rifles School (ARS), Kohima and 16 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 5 Sector, AR under Headquarters IGAR (N) have conducted tree plantation campaign at Assam Rifles School and Assam Rifles ridge yesterday. The campaign started off with Josh and gusto, with all ranks and families joining hands to plant a sapling each. About 2,000 sapling were planted by the students of Assam Rifles School, troops and families of 16 Assam Rifles and Headquarters IGAR (N) who took part in the event. As true to their motto “Friends of the Hill People”, the Assam Rifles once again show their consideration and endeavour to do good for the betterment of the people of Northeast.
