BPPF youth wing chief shot at, driver killed

KOKRAJHAR, Nov 16: Unidentified armed youths shot at BPPF youth wing president Kabi Ranjan Brahma at Chandamari near Gauranga river under Kokrajhar police station at 6 pm today. Kabi Ranjan Brahma sustained bullet injuries in each of his thighs. His driver Dharmananda Das was killed in the attack. According to the injured, unidentified youths laid an ambush when Brahma was returning to Kokrajhar from Banaragaon and opened indiscriminate firing injuring Kabi Ranjan Brahma, Dharmananda Das (who succumbed to his injuries later) and Ramesh Kumar Jogodia.
