DIPHU, Nov 16 – With a view to mitigate the suffering of the poor farmers of Tumpreng area and boost their morale, a Pathar Parichalana Committee was formed with Subodh Deb as president and Bhobiram Sharma as secretary in a meeting at Hatimara near Tumpreng in Karbi Anglong district recently.
The meeting, attended by about 400 farmers, hoped that the newly formed committee would provide respite to the poor farmers.
The new members said that the committee would leave no stone unturned to help the farmers of the area.
