AASU call 96-hour ONGC bandh from Dec 21

SIVASAGAR, Dec 20: AASU has called a 96-hour ONGC bandh from 5 am on December 21 to protest the petroleum ministry’s move to create a subsidiary for the oil fields owned by the oil and gas exploration company in Assam. The bandh will be in force till 5 am on December 25.

AASU held a discussion meet at the Sivasagar Natya Mandir today. Representatives of various political parties and organizations took part in the meet. The meeting discussed at length about the various aspects of creation of the subsidiary company. The meeting also discussed about the future course of actions to be taken to protest the move.
