BOKAKHAT, Dec 5: The eighth Kaziranga Elephant Festival has been scheduled to commence from January 3 to 6, said State Forest Minister Dr Rockybul Hussain while addressing a meeting held at Kahara. The meeting was presided over by Dr Hussain.
Dr Hussain also said a four-day-long programme will be held during the festival and that children and women will be allowed to visit the Kaziranga National Park free of cost. A budget of Rs 10 lakh has been estimated for the festival and a building will also be constructed at Kahara, Dr Hussain added. THE SENTINEL
