AGP candidate promises to raise State’s problems in Parliament

PATACHARKUCHI, April 21 – The AGP candidate for Barpeta HPC, Bhupen Roy, addressed a number of meetings in various parts of Patacharkuchi LAC area recently. Party meetings were held at Dumuria, Kenduguri, Saderi, Baghmara, Rehabari, Nityananda, Kharadhara, Tihu Town, Kanimara, Helana, Jalkhana, Dubi, Barbang Kumarpara, Patacharkuchi and Makhibaha. Those who addressed the meeting included Pabindra Deka and Mohan Das ex-MLA, Hitesh Talukdar president of Bajali Zila Samiti of BJP, Manoranjan Das, state leader of BJP, Mukul Dutta secretary of coordinating committee of AGP and BJP party of Patacharkuchi constituency. Pranjit Das, secretary of Bajali Zila Samiti of Asam Yuba Parishad, etc.

Opening a party office at Patacharkuchi Roy urged the people to vote for the AGP-BJP alliance candidate to throw out the ruling Congress in the interest of peace and development. He blamed the Congress MP for playing role of silent spectator on the floor of Parliament. He also criticised the role of former MP of Barpeta constituency and alleged that the former Congress MP AF Golam Osmani did not take any step for the development and solving the burning problems of the prestigious constituency. During his speech he promised the gathering to raise the burning problems of the constituency on the floor of Parliament if he was voted to power. He mentioned about the Baitamari, Manikpur and Nathkuchi polyster mills and Jogighopa Paper Mill and promised to revive the mills which were presently in defunct state. He further promised to construct a Jogighopa-Guwahati via Barpeta NH and steps for making the satras free from the hand of enchroachers. He termed the Congress government, a credit government which is running on loans only. He further claimed that AGP-BJP alliance will win the prestigious seat with huge margin of votes. ASSAM TRIBUNE
