DOOMDOOMA, June 8 – Atleast two persons were hacked to death and another injured last night following differences over a trivial matter such as slapping two minor girls to break up their fight in their own home at Jutlibari under Doomdooma PS in Tinsukia district. Police sources said Magen Moran, a neighbour of Manoj Mura, had come visiting, and following an altercation between Manoj Mural’s minor daughters, stapped both of them.
Incensed over his daughters being stapped Manoj Mura took out a machete and dealt blows to Magen Moran who was critically injured. A relative, Naresh Mura (65) who also received several blows with the matchete succumbed on his way to hospital.
Manoj Mura who had by then lost his senses rushed out of his house and also dealt a fatal blow to Sajjan Tanti (35) who happened to come along that way.
DC and SP Tinsukia rushed to the area following tension between two communities.
