GUWAHATI, June 8 – The foundation day of National School, Amgaon Bonda, Narengi was celebrated recently, a press release said.
Some of the oldest members, MM Boro, Gopi Sarma, Achyut Sarma and Dilip Gogoi of National Educational Society, which runs the school, were present at the meeting. The school was affiliated to CBSE, Delhi in 1993. This year 24 students appeared in the AISSE and 13 students secured 1st position and 11 students secured 2nd position.
Patriotic songs and dance were presented by Class IX and Class X students. Sushma Shah Kalwar, principal of the school, offered the vote of thanks.
National School also celebrated World Environment Day in association with Kaziranga Wildlife Society.
The school is going to hold a Bihu workshop during the summer vacation in the school campus in association with noted dhul exponent Somnath Borah to seek entry into Guinness Book of World Records, the release added.
