KAMPUR, June 16 – The UGC-sponsored remedial teaching course was inaugurated at Kampur College auditorium in the presence of the teachers, students, members of the college governing body and educationists recently.
The course is likely to benefit the poorer and backward students who cannot get themselves admitted in time because of poverty and other circumstances. Students who are slow learners as well as those having the aptitude to learn more would also be benefitted by the course or remedial teaching.
The keynote address on this occasion was delivered by Dr Arun Kumar Rontroy who is in his speech dwelt on about the need based education which would definitely save time and energy of the student in order to channelise their abilities in a proper and purposeful way.
Inaugurating the course RM Borthakur, president of Kampur College Governing Body urged the students to get themselves prepared with knowledge and information to face the rapidly charging competitive world.
SR Mazumdar, former principal of Kampur College, PR Saikia, principal, Kampur Higher Secondary School, Rohini Barua, GB member, Sanmin Ahmed, HoD, Political Science, Prof Hussain, HoD Education etc took part in the seminar on Remedial Teaching and enlightened the audience with their valuable speeches.
Plabika Neog, HoD, Economics who is also the co-ordinator of the UGC sponsored Remedial Teaching course rendered a detailed description of the entire scheme at the beginning.
