GUWAHATI, Dec 21: The Central IT College (CITC), Dispur has once again done Assam proud by achieving 2nd rank among the 710 study centres of Sikkim Manipul University with 3560 students on its rolls. The award was given away to Shamim Goney, faculty member of CITC by Anil Kumble, former India cricket team captain and brand ambassador of Sikkim Manipal University in the 2nd National Learning Centre Convention held on December 14 and 15.
The Director of Central IT College M Hoque has expressed happiness over the sucess of the college and is hopeful that Central IT College by dint of hard work and efficiency will be able to attain the numero uno position one day. The function was also graced by other personalities such as Dr Surjit Singh Pabla, Vice Chancellor, Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical & Technological Sciences; Anand Sudarshan, MD & CEO, Manipal Education; and AM Thimmiya, senior vice president, Manipal Group.
