ARUNACHAL PRADESH, March 4: The joint State Level Youth office bearers and the District Youth Congress presidents of the 2-Eastern Arunachal Parliamentary Constituency meeting was held on February 21, 2009 at Pasighat, east Siang district to discuss about the forthcoming parliamentary general election 2009. After threadbare discussion and considering the over all party situation in the eastern part of the state and the party ticket seekers, it was felt that the party needs to project a young, capable and energetic party leader as its candidate, stated a press release.
Therefore, it has been unanimously decided to endorse the name of Tony Pertin as the party nominee to contest from Indian National Congress Parliamentary general elections 2009. It is to be noted that Tony Pertin of Bolung village, PO and PS Roing, Lower Dibang Valley district is an active member of the Indian National Congress. His father late Gora Pertin is the founded president of APCC. He is well known in the state as hard working and amiable in nature. He had completed his graduation and LLB course from Dehli University and was actively involved in the students’s movement and bears a good moral character. The Youth Congress of Eastern Parliamentary Constituency has unanimously resolved to request the party higher authorities to nominate Pertin from 2-Eastern Arunachal Parliamentary Constituency.
