Pensioners’ Convention on July 11

GUWAHATI, July 9: The Joint Convention of Postal, DOT, BSNL and Central Government Pensioners will be held on July 11 in Guwahati.

Nearly 300 delegates of all district and local committees of Central Government Pensioners’ Associations and BSNL-DOT Pensioners’ Associations are expected to attend the convention. President of the National Coordination Committee of the Pensioners’ Associations, RL Bhattacharjee will address the convention.

The recent move of the Central Government to privatize pension funds of all Central Government pensioners and the indifferent attitude of the Government as well as the Central Pay Commission towards fulfilling the demands of the pensioners will be discussed in the convention.
