KOKRAJHAR, Oct 18: A legal aid-cum-awareness camp was organized by the intermediate students of Kokrajhar Law College in association with North Eastern Human Welfare Society (NEHWS) at Jwngma Bodo Foraishali, Patgaon recently under the presidentship of Mesorsing Basumatary, Head of School Governing Body.
The programme was attended by the Principal of Kokrajhar Law College IP Brahma, lecturers and students of the Law College, village headmen and local people as well as NGO activists. The general secretary of Kokrajhar District Committee, ABSU Lawrence Islary also attended the function and made the programme impressive by putting some questions over the legal issues which are very important for the people. The president of the Patgaon Anchalik Committee, ABSU Rupban Basumatary also made some questions over the solution of legal issues found in and around Patgaon area.
The Principal of Kokrajhar Law College, IP Brahma, lecturers of the college– PK Aditya, AK Ahmed, P Singha and Chandana Narzary spoke on the occasion regarding legal issues in the locality and to bring awareness.
They called upon the people to join hands in solving various legal issues found in the area with the Legal Aid Authority. Nion Mashahary, In-charge of legal aid-cum-awareness camp also attended the programme. THE SENTINEL
