Ahluwalia releases Arunachal development report

ITANAGAR, Dec 2: A comprehensive statistical report on developmental initiatives and plans for Arunachal Pradesh, titled ‘Arunachal Development Report’ prepared by the Rajiv Gandhi University, was released by Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia at a function in New Delhi yesterday.

Dr Ahluwalia said the report would facilitate the policy makers with required assistance in drawing out their developmental programmes for the landlocked State. He appreciated RGU for bringing out the report on time while the State is rapidly gearing up for all round-development with the support of Manmohan Singh-led UPA Government and catering for new initiatives to live up to its people’s aspirations.

The function was attended by Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu, State Finance Minister Setong Sena, Planning Commission Member B K Chaturvedi and Member 13th Finance Commission Prof. Atul Sharma, RGU Vice Chancellor K C Belliappa, among others. THE SENTINEL
