ITANAGAR, Dec 23: Bishop of Itanagar, Rt Rev Dr John Thomas today extended Christmas greetings and appealed for tolerance in the society. In a message, he said that since Jesus came to save everyone, all belong to each other and that one should never see the one who does not profess one’s creed as ‘the other’. “I call upon all Christians to work together for a society where charity takes precedence over a creedal formula,” he appealed. Wishing all a happy New Year, the Bishop said, “May Jesus whose birth we celebrate now brings many blessings in the New Year! May this celebration of Christmas usher in an era of peace in our beloved country!” THE SENTINEL
