GUWAHATI, March 13 – The District Magistrate, Kamrup, has issued an order under Sec 144 prohibiting carrying of arms, ammunition, explosives and weapons of any nature in public places or vehicles, and in processions, rallies and meetings, and retaining them, an official press release stated. Therefore, these arms, ammunition and weapons have to be deposited in the nearest police station against receipts with immediate effect. Any aggrieved person is, however, at liberty to appear before the court on any working day for filling written objections, if any for cancellation or modification of this order within 15 days, the press release added.
