Assam Election, Appeal to shun communal politics

Assam Election
From our Staff Correspondent
DIBRUGARH, April 9: The Purbanchal Tai Xahitya Xabha has cautioned all the political parties to avoid playing of all forms of communal politics in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. In a statement issued to the press, the Xabha expressed its serious concern over the way the political parties were trying to divide the greater Asomiya society on the basis of caste, creed and religion for political gain and urged upon all political parties to refrain from any such act that go against the principle as propagated by Siu-Ka-Pha, the architect of the greater Asomiya society.

Condemning the divisive politics being played by a section of political parties in Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency, they stated ethnic communities are carrying on their struggle for their due rights without hurting the fabric of Asomiya society. While calling upon the general people to remain alert, the Xabha further stated that each and every race and ethnic community residing in Asom would remain an integral part of the Asomiya society.
