BARPETA, April 9: To review the second phase of the Lok Sabha election at Barpeta constituency scheduled to be held on April 23, an election review meeting was held in the presence of the three appointed central observers here at the Barpeta Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall. These three observers–Kabita Gupta, DK Srinivashan and Sanjeev Kr Mittal discussed in detail with the election officer along with it’s connected officers to maintain clean and sound elections in the time of election.
The returning officer and Barpeta DC Phanidhar Kalita, Barpeta SP Debajyoti Mukharjee, Bongaigaon DC Utpalananda Sarma and all the SDO’s of Barpeta, Bajali and North Salmara for the 23 election cells were also present in the meeting.
Central observer Kabita Gupta, who is currently present at the Barpeta circuit house, will observe Barpeta, Jania, Baghbar, Sarukshetri and Chenga LACs under Barpeta Lok Sabha constituency.
Likewise DK Srinivashan who is at the Bongaigaon circuit house will observe Bongaigaon, North Abhayapuri, South Abhayapuri LAC and Sanjeev Kr Mittal who is at present in the Nalbari circuit house will observe Dharmapur LAC and Patacharkuchi LAC election process. THE SENTINEL
