Assam Election, Manmohan Singh, wife cast votes in Guwahati

Guwahati: Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh accompanied by wife Gursharan Kaur flew down from New Delhi to cast their votes here at 11-40 A.M. sharp as per the schedule on Thursday.

Dr Singh and his wife were the 258th and 259th voters to exercise their franchise at Polling Station number 156 at Dispur Government High School where total 1138 voters are expected to cast their votes.

"I am feeling great for being able to come here to cast my vote. No, I am not at all tense about Congress' chances in the second phase polls," Dr Singh told the media after casting his vote. A beaming Gursharan Kaur also said that she was feeling equally great after casting the vote. THE SENTINEL
