SHILLONG, April 7 – Indo-Bangla border has been sealed by BSF in the wake of serial blasts in Assam, that left ten dead and over 50 injured. DHUBRI, April 7 – An ULFA militant Parimal Barman and six of its linkmen were arrested today following yesterday’s grenade attack at a police station at Mankachar in Dhubri district. In a joint operation by police and army, a hardcore ULFA militant has been arrested from Paglaghat under Tamarhat police station area, Superintendent of Police Partha Sarathi Mahanta said. – PTI.

NORTH LAKHIMPUR, April 7 – A strong hailstorm accompained by a strong wind lashed many parts of North Lakhimpur and its adjoining areas today affecting normal life. The storm hit North Lakhimpur around 11 am and damaged many house and other properties. Hail stones as big as 5-6 cm lashed many areas damaging pre-summer crops and other horticultural products. – Correspondent

ISLAMABAD, April 7 – Amid differences with America on the issue of drone attacks against high-value terrorist targets on it soil, Pakistan today said it would not give any “blank cheques” to the US and not accept foreign troops in its territory in the ongoing war to root out al-Qaeda and Taliban. – PTI
