Three Bangladeshis arrested

DHUBRI, April 26: Three Bangladeshi nationals identified as Nalum Mohammad (60), Talu Sheikh (55) and Anwar Hussain (40) have been apprehended by 29 Bn Border Security Force from Indo-Bangla international border under Dhubri district today.
These Bangladeshi nationals hail from Balahat village under Kurigram district of Bangladesh. BSF also seized eight cattle from them, a BSF source informed. THE SENTINEL

Villagers protest arrest of MULTA cadre

DHUBRI, April 26: Nearly 200 villagers of Tokkreswara and its nearby village thronged Golokganj police station protesting against the arrest of one MULTA cadre, Abdul Malik Sheikh (24), with an IED weighing 6 kg today.
Abdul was arrested from Tokkreswara village in a joint operation by Police and 21 Jat Regiment yesterday. After interrogation by the army at the Agomoni camp, Abdul Malik Sheikh was handed over to Golokganj police yesterday itself.
But since morning today, villagers started gathering at the premises of Golokganj police station and demanded unconditional release of Abdul Malik Sheikh. He was booked under explosive act, police sources informed. THE SENTINEL
