Dabi takes exception to extortion notice by NDFB

PASIGHAT, Dec 22: Home Minister Tako Dabi today took strong exception to the alleged extortion notices served to some contractors and government officials supposedly by the NDFB in Seijosa of East Kameng district.

Addressing the people at Nari-Seren in East Siang here today, the Home Minister informed that his office promptly asked the State police to take immediate action and investigate the matter thoroughly. He said that the Government would not tolerate such subversive acts by anti-social elements within the territory of Arunachal Pradesh. Dabi reiterated his ‘Christmas message’ to all underground outfits active in the State to shun violence and create a congenial atmosphere for the growth of the State. He kept the doors of the Government open for talks. The Home Minister also informed that the CBI, which is investigating the murder of former MP late Wangcha Rajkumar, has assured to submit its report within three months. Assuring to usher in development for his home constituency, Dabi told the people that his proposal to make Namey village a traditional model village to attract tourists from across the world, would soon see light of the day and sought cooperation from them THE SENTINEL
