DIBRUGARH, March 12: A meeting of the zonal and sector officers of Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency was held at the District Library here on March 10.
The role and responsibilities of the officers towards the smooth conduct of the forthcoming general elections were discussed in detail on the occasion. The chairperson of the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Gyanendra Dev Tripathi said that the civil and police forces as well as the participants must co-operate with each other and called on them to ensure that the election model code was implemented in its true spirit. Several other issues like infrastructural facilities in the voting centres and communication found place in the discussion.
Twenty-seven zonal officers and one hundred sector officers attended the meeting. Amongst others, SP Abhijeet Bora and ADC Amitabh Rajkhowa were also present on the occasion. THE SENTINEL
