BJP objects to transportation advertisements

ITANAGAR, Oct 9: The State unit BJP has filed its objections to the advertisements published in the print media by certain individuals offering public transportation to supporters of certain candidates from the State capital to respective constituencies.

In a representation to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) today, the party claimed that the advertisements are misleading and attempts to lure voters unethically. It viewed it as violation of the election code of conduct as circulated by the Commission. THE SENTINEL
