SHILLONG, Oct 9: The four-day North East Cultural Festival, 2009 will begin from October 14 at the State Central Library premises here. Official sources said the festival is being organized by the Department of Art and Culture in collaboration with North East Zone Cultural Centre.
The festival will feature open-air cultural dances from all the Northeastern states, songs, quiz competition, seminar, cultural procession and rock bands, sources said. Various stalls will be put up for display and sale of handicraft and products of Northeastern states, besides traditional food items and other variety. An exhibition of painting and photograph will also be held during the festival, sources added. UNI
