Global Festival concludes

GUWAHATI, Oct 5: The four-day long ‘Global Festival for Receiving God’s Powers and Blessings’ organized by the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya concluded in Guwahati yesterday.

Addressing the closing ceremony of the festival yesterday at the Assam Engineering Institute playground at Chandmari, Chief Guest and Meghalaya Governor RS Mooshahary lauded the Brahma Kumaris for their efforts to bring worldpeace.

Addressing on the theme of the festival, Chief of Brahma Kumaris branches in Russia, Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Chakradhariji said,‘‘Today in every aspect of life, be it political, financial, social or family, people are becoming more and more hopeless and depresed. Now is the time that God has descended to bestow his blessings and powers to eradicate worries and tensions of his children, the human souls’’.

Participating as Guest of Honour, Vice Chancellor of Gauhati University Dr Okhil Kr Medhi said,‘‘We do not find solutions to present problems and therefore only faith in God will bring peace and strength of mind. However, to receive blesings from God we need to adopt values like truth and non-violence’’. A mass meditation with 108 Brahma Kumaris and Brahma Kumars was also organized as part of the concluding festival. Besides, an enchanting cultural programme was presented which included Borgeet led by Sri Damodar Bora, Manipuri group dance from Karuna Dance Academy, Xattriya group dance composed by Nrittyacharya Padmasree Jatin Goswami, Dance and Komal Sparsh with 151 pots on head by Kumari Priya Patni from Bhilwara, Rajasthan and Flute recital (Murulir Oikkyatan) by 51 Flautist led by internationally renowned Deepak Sarma.
