Letter writing competition

GUWAHATI, Oct 15: A letter writing competition among school children has been organized by the Department of Posts, Guwahati. The topic of the competition is ‘Gandhiji writes a postcard’, wherein school children can write letters in the guise of Mahatma Gandhi on any burning topic. The competition will be held in two categories: class III to V in the first category and class VI to VIII in the second category. Interested students will have to purchase competition postcards directly from Head Post Offices and Mukhya Dak Ghar Offices of the Guwahati circle, write a letter on a current topic in English or Hindi and post it to The Chief Postmaster General, Assam Circle, Guwahati-01, Post Box no. 159, Guwahati-GPO, along with particulars such as name, age, class, school, date of writing and address. The minimum word limit is 25 words and the last date for posting the entry is October 30, 2009. Prizes will be given to three winners in each category at the Circle and National level.
