Tihu-Bangaon road deplorable

TIHU, June 7: The condition of the Tihu-Bangaon PWD road is in a deplorable shape as a result of which the villagers have been facing problems in day-to-day life. The transportation problem from Balipara to Helona villages in the area are adding woes to people’s suffering. This road is considered as an important road for the inhabitants of villages like Helona, Kochdiga, Rupdiga, Bangaon, Jalikhata, Bargandubi, Rampur and others. It is to be mentioned that a portion of the road was black-tapped to Balipara a few years back ,but remaining part of the road was not completed causing immense trouble to the people of the area. The road becomes muddy and the potholes are like the death traps. There is no alternative road for communication. THE SENTINEL
