AGP secretary resigns

DIBRUGARH, Sept 12: The secretary of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), Chabua Town Committee, Pranab Kumar Gogoi, has resigned from the party taking moral responsibility of the party’s defeat in the Chabua Town Committee election. He also stated that, the internal conflict in the rank and file in the Chabua unit of AGP was another cause of his resignation. Gogoi has sent his resignation letter to the president of Dibrugarh District AGP. Pranab Gogoi, who was a district level leader of banned ULFA organization, who was known as Anirban Gohain, later joined AGP. He was elected as a member of Anchalik Gaon Panchayat of Polonga village under Chabua Assembly Constituency on AGP party ticket. THE SENTINEL
