APCC secretary visits Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, Sept 12: The APCC secretary Ankur Dutta, who is also the in-charge of the District Congress Committee visited Kokrajhar to overview the organizational strength of the Congress party in the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) area and participated in a party meeting held at Ranendra Narayan Basumatary Bhavan here yesterday. In the meeting, all Block and Mandal Committees under the district gave a report on present organizational status of the district committee and demanded to facilitate party ticket in the coming BTC election with the Congress symbol. Congress workers expressed their concern over the status of the party workers in the Bodo belts saying that they have become functionless in the Bodoland region after the Congress and BPF alliance. In an interview with mediapersons, APCC secretary Ankur Dutta said, there are large numbers of Congress workers in the BTC region and APCC is trying to enhance the party strength. THE SENTINEL
